Laminated vg10 vs cpm 20cv

Getting stainless steel survival knife all around camp hiking knife which steel is tougher to impact holds edge longer ect ? Fallkiven s1 vs gso 5.1 so you know the company's making the steel in question ?
 
20cv will hold an edge leaps and bounds longer, but is not quite as tough.
 
I thought the opposite I figured 20cv would keep its edge through more abuse as in not chipping ... vg10 chipped really quick in the destruction test .... (I don't plan on hitting concrete)
