I have noticed that the website of Landi knives has been unchanged for quite some time now. Is he still taking orders? I am interested in the mps knife and can't find any reviews (except one brief one on knifeforums). Is the handle big enough to fill a medium sized hand? Also, how is the fit and finish on his knives? These look like a great deal for a custom knife and could possibly be my first.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I've heard nothing but great things about his knives, I've got an MPS on the way, should be here in the next few weeks.

I bought one of his triple orange PSK's secondhand (but in un-used condition) and it is a nice little knife. Price point is on par with the quality of the piece, meaning that I only paid $65 for it, but I probably would not have spent more. For being a handmade knife, it is a quality piece, but I feel that any additional cost should also be represented with a slightly better fit and finish. The lanyard hole is a bit rough around the edges, and the G10 scales are slightly un-uniform against the tang, but again, for the price point, it is a good buy. Please don't take this as a bash against Landi, and don't hesistate to purchase a piece from him.

F&F is generally pretty good, especially considering the price point and what you get. Some nice knives and a great person to deal with.

I have a 6" ffg utility kitchen knife from Landi, quarter sawn english walnut scales. Use it frequently, very nice knife.

His knives are an extremely good value. He uses 1095 which is a carbon steel and all of the knives were lazer sharp.

I picked up a couple of his PSKs. Great little knives with solid ergonomics. I can see one of these becoming an EDC for me.

I may ask John to shave about an 1/8 th of an inch off of one so I can carry it legally in a school while I am student teaching.

The ability to have a full tang, carbon steel knife with a very useable blade in such an efficient package is unique as far as I'm concerned. John's design and execution are great!

I have a new MPM for sale in the Exchange (Custom knives) if you're interested.

I had a Landi PSK in orange G10 - just traded it away today, in fact.

It was an excellent knife with great fit and finish and a very comfortable handle. Good sheath, too. I traded it semi-impulsively because I need a chopper.

Thanks for being impulsive. It's a great knife, I am very impressed. Wish I had picked one up earlier.

He's still making knives. He has some bushcrafters for sale in the "For Sale: Fixed Blades" subforum.
