Anyone have any experience with this knife. Its a2 steel which im not familiar with. All my knives are 01 or 1095. Anyone know were i can find a review or have anything to say about this knife.

If you like O1 then you'll like A2. Both are tough tool steels.

I don't have that particular knife but I have a PSK that is similar. It's definitely a good value for the money.

I have only had experience with one Landi knife. It was several months late arriving and was ground horribly off center. It came with a poorly made kydex sheath.

I can't speak to it's performance as it was sold off almost immediately.

There a lot of good things said about them on these forums but my extremely limited experience with them was poor to say the least.

I had the knife below and it seemed about as solid as any knife that size could be. I wouldn't hesitate to use it to the extreme.

I also have a PSK, I think it's a great little knife. It's my only Landi, but the grinds are good, the handle fit and finish are great. It feels very solid for the money. I put a forced patina on it, but I think A2 is more stain resistant than 1095.

Because of the size, it is best reserved for back-up/neck knife and as a PSK knife. It is a tad too small if you need to do a lot of chorework with it, I tried and found limitations with the size and hand fatigue.

I own 2 and am not complaining about the blade or manufacture.

ive had an rsk for a while now, I really wanted one at first to fill in a "hiking knife" roll between my f1 and izula, and just a fun project, it turned out must worse then expected, and I really wish I just got an rc3mil.

I wish I took pictures at the time, so I cant "prove" how bad the workmanship was, but I really have no reason to lie. The grind was the worst ive ever seen in terms of how far off center it was, and it actually didnt go all the way to the tip on one side . looking back I dont know why I didnt return it but I can regrind knives myself and I liked the style enough to put some work in. It took a very long time but now its razor sharp. In terms of the blade shape the curve is too abrupt on mine so the tip is generally useless, this could obviously be due to the misgrind, so I will be fixing that soon, it looks like the condor golok tip. I cant say how well the steel holds up yet but it seems hard and once worked on got very sharp. The kydex sheath looks great but is useless, there is no retention as its cut too low, when I added the handle its even worse, there was no fixing this sheath, im highly disappointed. not sure what to do now, if anyone knows a jre model that fits it please let me know. The handle shape looks better then it feels, but still feels very good, Im still going to thin out the pronounced belly as its too extreme for my taste.

generally I like the design, its literally the worst execution ive seen to date, my izula/fallkniven/spydercos/blindhorse/enzo and so on have been generally perfect, I dont know how the landi past through quality control, my only guess is there is none. I might be a bit harsh, but this was no mora in terms of cost, and moras generally have great grinds even at a tenth of the cost.

Hodges, are you aware that Landi knives is one person? He is a custom maker, if you are unhappy wth the product you should contact him. I have met John and bought my knife from him after asking if he'd drive down the turnpike and meet me half way to the Burgh. He is a stand up guy and i'm sure he'd want to hear your complaints. Everybody has their off days, email him. FYI, my early generation MPM had a bad edge grind but I corrected it and it's a solid knife with professional heat treat that was relatively inexpensive and the money went to support an individual and fellow knife nut. good luck!

I have a BushShiv and an RSK. The fit and finish on both are great. The kydex scratching the side of the BushShiv is about my only complaint.
