Hi,
I am thinking about purchasing a Lansky 4 rod sharpener for about 16 dollars shipped. It has 2 coarse rods and 2 fine ceramic rods. Has anybody tried this system and found it to be exceptional? I am looking to make my knives decently sharp. For the price I am not expecting "hair splitting sharp" or "hair shaving sharp". Just sharp enough to perform normal tasks exceptionally (cut paper without ripping, opening packages with ease, ect).
Moreover, I am a novice when it comes to sharpening if you have read my previous posts. Thanks.
p.s. just to clarify this is not the Lansky one with all the gadgets, angles, sticks, and clamps but merely the one that has 4 rods placed into a wooden block.
