Lanyard/550 braids

Looking to do some braids with a skull attached to it at the bottom of my sheath where the leg lanyard would go, any ideas out there and instructions.

Not like that-I'm not really sure how to describe it. It starts with a marlinspike in the middle of the cord, and then alternate sides of the cord are pulled through the loop of the marlinspike, which is then tightened around it. I'll try to get a photo up.
