If you can't find a suitable bead, just tie on a Turkshead knot with some 1mm nylon cord. A 3-wrap Turkshead makes a perfect sized round bead. You can find all sorts of YouTube videos to show you how to do it.

Check the yellow pages. Around here there are more bead shops than good hardware stores.

My wife took me into one and they had several million beads of all sorts.
