I kind of enjoy making lanyards for some of my knives. I started by buying a few from eBay but it is more fun to tie your own knots so I watched a few Youtube videos and learned the fine art of tying Snake Knots! My question is, what are you guys using for lanyard beads and/or where are you getting beads for your projects? Does anyone like to get creative and use things that may not have been designed to be lanyard trinkets? For example, here is my latest lanyard that I added to my AWT Redoubt...I used a 1/4" brass compression ferrule to give it just a little bling!

I'm looking for some other ideas from around the house/shop and also some cool purchased beads or doo dads for other projects!

Looks good Rocket.
I see a lot of knives Gary sells so he may be a good source for you on that. Ohhhh Gary !!

I've had a bit of fun making wood beads on my little watchmaker lathe. This is walnut, black locust and purple heart. The beads look better as I progress, these are some of the first ones I made.

That awful lanyard on the QSP is my attempt at a snake knot. I just can't get it. Lol. I dont know why. One of these days it'll click.

The leather fob is my usual lanyard I like to put on things. It's basically the same knot as a noose, then you cut the ends off and I super glue it so it doesn't come apart.

I know how you feel! I mastered the snake knot but I cannot figure out the Diamond finishing knot to save my life! I don't know why...I watched tons of tutorials on Youtube but I just can't get it right, LOL! The wooden beads do look great! Nice work!!
