Is this possible or even a good idea ?

Unfortunately, I sometimes loose things.

I don't like the idea of the clip
not being attached to the TI liner.

Thanx.

Bladelover,
RE: attaching the clip to the Ti liner vs. our current method, the conical brass inserts imbeded into the G10 have equal or greater resistance to catastrophic failure than threading the Ti liner. As strange as this may sound, it is true.
Also, anyone who tells us they never loose knives is pretty much catagorized as a collector and not a user! All of us knife toting types misplace one sooner or later.
Micks design facilitates attaching a lanyard of mil-spec suspension line (550 cord) to the aftmost spacer. Give it a try, it works great.

I have a Strider Buck that is my daily carry (until my GB is done) and I have not had any problem with the clip coming off. It has the same type of attachement. I caught the clip on the door of my car as I was swinging it shut and ended up with ripped uniform pants but the clip was fine.

I got my name KnifeBomber for losing one of the Strider knives I had in Kuwait. I simpathise with your plight. Use the technique Duane talked about. It works!! I have multiple (more than 5) Striders and they all get lanyarded when I get in the helo. The kydex sheath works extremely well as another alternative. But, you still have to take it out while using it, so use some para chord. Best way I've seen. Also, inquire about the hatchet that Mick is working on if your job could require you to be stranded somewhere bad for a while. They also offer a Sheepsfoot of Wharncliffe style blade that is not on their website that is a great utility blade. I highly reccomend it. They will hook you up if asked. Hope this helps.
