Hello fellow forum members I am buying a Becker bk2 campanion in a few days (waiting for the check to clear in the bank)

anyway I need a good adjustable knot to put on a lanyard so I can tighten it around my wrist

I know nothing about the site it's posted on, but here is a video of how to tie probably the easiest type of adjustable lanyard (basically a noose). Just do 3 or 4 wraps and it makes a simple adjustable lanyard.

There are lots of videos and web sites that show how to make prettier and fancier ones.

I guess this is a good place for my list again:

Purpose Of Lanyard ?

Someone on Wilderness & Survival Skills recently put up good pictures of how to use a lanyard. I think I can describe it in words, though.

Tie a loop of cord through the thong hole. Hang the knife off your upraised thumb by this loop, with the cord lying across the back of your hand. Turn your hand palm down and reach around to grab the knife by the handle.

The lanyard loop now holds your hand tight to the handle. Adjust the loop's size to fit comfortably. You may want to leave extra length of cord to enlarge the loop if you're wearing gloves.

If you need to reach for something, just release the knife, which will still hang off your thumb, away from what you reach for since the cord is across the back of your hand again.

I like to put a turks head right by the pommel to keep the lanyard on, and add a little extra cordage, should I need it. Then I just add a cord lock so I can change the length from a wrist lanyard to a thumb lanyard. I will try to post pictures.

I use a 13 wrap hangman's noose on all of mine... :D

maybe more than is needed, but it adds extra length to the cord... and looks cool, too...
