I am wanting to put a lanyard on my mora but I don't want to mess up the knife, has anyone ever done this?

the tang doesn't go all the way to the pommel so you can drill away - it's all plastic at the last inch or so (someone posted an x-ray pic of the mora handles). i did it to my mora c-223 so i can put an orange lanyard on it.

I have the Mora 860MG

I used the awl on my sak to drill through the end of my Clipper. Though I honestly did it just to do it, not for any particular reason :D

Hmm...maybe not that model then I guess. Some do, at the very least. The #137, for instance, with the laminated blade, has a hole in the end of the handle where you can see the tang. A tubular spring clip is hammered into the hole to provide a wedging action between the tang and the handle.

also notice the large bandage? yeah, the dang Mora bit me Good! its quite sharp ;) now it's just another scar to add to my evergrowing collection LOL

BTW thats a Mora Classic #1 in carbon

This is the new generation of the MG. I drilled it in the hard plastic part. Kept the drill straight and flared out the hole a bit afterwards.
