Recommendation? Lanyard on protech Malibu

Hello
The lanyard hole on the Malibu is very small
I would like to install a paracord on my Malibu but I don’t know what type of paracorde can fit

For those who have a lanyard on their Malibu, what paracord have you used?

I had a friends knife sent up to me to put a lanyard on, unfortuantely I don't have any photos of it but I used some 325 lb paracord and that was a little difficult to get it started through the hole, I had to pull out the inner strands on one end so you just have the outer shell there to get it started, the rest of the cord will have the strands still in but by taking them out for the first 3" or so will make it possible to get it started. Even at that I used a thin paper clip that I made a hook on one end to help get things through. For example here's one I did recently on a very very small opening on a Boker folder using the 325 lb paracord and a small viking bead
