lanyard pin retention? large Sebenza 21

Hello,

Does anybody have a good suggestion for holding in the lanyard pin in if you don't want the lanyard? I've seen a small piece of paracord melted but thought there has to be other methods. Suggestions and photos would be terrific.

If it's anything like the small...(it should be exactly the same)...the pin is held in place by the scales. It will be able to freely rotate but won't fall out...that's been my experience at least.

The large pin is different, the pin is a single diameter and slides through without the lanyard.
 
Wasn't the lanyard pin recently changed so it won't come out if the lanyard is removed? I believe so. You should be able to get one from CRK.

Hmmmm, can anyone confirm this? Id just call, but its the weekend.

????? I think you misread something.

We were talking about a redesigned lanyard PIN for the large. I asked if anyone can confirm there is a new one. Lol I cut my lanyards off day 1, but my post wasn't referring to that at all. Reread don's post above me.
 
This is a new Sebenza 21 large. I haven't removed the lanyard yet but was wondering.

Confirmed there is only one pin for the large, same single diameter pin as always. Remove lanyard and it slides right through.

Maybe I did. I thought you were asking if your particular pin was the new or old style. My bad haha

All good lol.

I did contact crk and unfortunately only one pin for the large. Bummer because this thread got my hopes up!
