Lanyard placement on 110/112s

I have found no satisfactory way to fit a lanyard to a 110 or 112 simply by drilling.

I did make a replacement rear spacer [where the two rear pins hold the spring in place] that was oversized and stuck out the back of the knife to the rear. I drilled for the lanyard and that worked well, but what a lot of work and time!!!

Joe tells me that Buck hasn't made such a part that he can recall.

Anyone else have any ideas about this?

Thanks

The easiest way I can think of to add a lanyard to these knife is to have a piece of the steel liner stick out past the bottom bolster.

Of course, that has to be done at the factory.

Win,

Someone has a pricey Buck 110 that has been completely reworked listed on BFC Auctions (at $600). It sports an extention for a lanyard just like Snick mentions.

A lanyard can be nice if you are working over water and don`t have your SCUBA gear with you.I lost a flashlight that way and never did find it,too murky and soft mud.The light was on when I went for the gear, but off when I came back.To make it worse,it was borrowed.

I`d have to go back to Jeff`s parts diagram, but it looks as though a hole could be drilled.

The inexpensive Schrade Old Timer series (60T Golden Bear) has a laynard hole, too. I had to mention this since Puma was already mentioned
