lanyard question

does anyone know where to buy or where to buy the materials to make a lanyard like the one in the picture? Some instructions would be nice too. Thanks

It looks like standard black leather lace to me. you can get it at any leather shop, or I think even at Walmart.

so it's just regular leather lace with a regular 3 strand braid?

Actually its a split braid made of one piece of lace which has a series of slits cut in it in which the ends are alternately fed through the holes creating a braided effect.It has to be "braided" right on the knife.
