Lanyard Tied Correctly?

This is a new small sebenza albeit from a few years ago. As the lanyard rotates up it hits the blade and is getting frayed after only a day or two. Should it be tied tighter to the back of the handle? Thank you.IMG_20181011_114119521_50.jpg

Maybe it could be tied closer- has always been one of my frustrations that the tip of the blade frays the lanyard. I have corrected my own issues with this..but really, it's been a thing for a long time.

You could try taking the knife apart and flipping the other direction. Might help a little depending on how it's tied. Unfortunately that doesn't really solve the problem totally.

Make the noose tighter, thus limiting the rotational angle movement. If the noose is too loose, the chances of the loop getting in front of the tip would be greater.

The will also gets frayed by the constrant rubbing with the titanium slabs (inside edge). I too carry my L21 in a CRK leather sheath.

The snake knot will prevent it entirely if tied close to the frame. That is how I prefer and do mine anyway.

Like the lanyards CRK sells with beads.

If you need a pic. Lmk

I got mine to stop by taking off the lanyard. No need for one on this knife.

CRK are some of my favorite knives to have a lanyard on.

I retied this one yesterday . Same way it came back from the factory but I really crank on the knots and tie it right to the handle as close as possible.

Once it breaks in a little it's perfect.
