Does crk give out lanyards or lanyard material if you ask? I like the material of the one that comes with the knife, and mine is fraying so we only have so much time! If not, do you know where to get this same material or what it's called? I would like to maybe try the knife without a lanyard, but I like the blue lanyard pin and having a tiny piece of para cord melted together I think would look cheap.

I had a regular that I sent to the spa with an older lanyard. It came back with a new one. I don't think there was extra charge. I would confirm this though via email first but CRK is lighting fast with email responses compared to most companies.

I like lanyards on my small but not large. On my large I use the melted paracord trick. I don't think it looks cheap if done right.

As far as material that replicates the lanyards from the factory I am not sure where you might get some that matches, but I know I have some extra from the lanyards I took off my larges! hahah You are welcome to them!

Knives sent back for spa work are returned with a new lanyard at no extra charge. I'll echo Sharpski, I've got extras that have been removed, you're welcome to them

If you guys have no reason and they'll just sit there, sure. But if you think you may use them in the future, please hold onto them. I appreciate the offer!

Speaking of lanyards....Could someone tell me where to purchase the new style CRK lanyards that are different colors and come with a titanium bead and titanium fitting that goes between the scales?

Specifically, I am trying to find two of the solid color dark navy blue with the blue ti lug and blue ti bead that fit the large Sebenzas. Several places I have checked are out of them. I tried to call CRK shop yesterday, but did not get a phone answer.

Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't be opposed to going that route if they aren't too expensive. I actually wish i could make a leather one that would last forever, but i don't know where to find that material either. It's too bad they didn't make a solid shouldered lanyard pin to go in there.

I've got leather on a small insingo. Get some leather bootlaces from a shoe store or one of the box stores and you're good to go. I waxed mine up with some Filson wax but snow seal or obenaufs works the same too

What's the melted paracord trick?

The ti pin will fall out without the lanyard right? So you put a bit of paracord in the hole and melt it so that it's just sized big enough that the pin doesn't fall out. There are good vids on YouTube that show how to do it. ;)

Edit- one suggestion though... Don't overheat the ti. You can trash the anodized finish if you're not careful.

On the large annual I just received, its like that. First time I have seen it as I usually have the older style lanyards ON my sebenzas.

Yeah that's how they were on the Sebbies that I've had in the past. I definitely liked having the lanyard on. In fact the Sebenza is the only knife I've ever truly liked the accessory with. Unfortunately I won't be using it on the 25. One of my favorite parts on the new knife is the new standoff. It looks very nice.
