Hey, if I'm too far off-topic, just yell at me. Don't be polite, I won't get it. Ask my wife.
Any of you high-speed, low-drag individuals ever used the Gem-tech lanyard? If not, any lanyard? What I'm thinking is that if I'm carrying a $150+ folder (yeah, it marks me as one that can't *yet* stomach over $300 for a folder
) on duty, then I want to make sure it doesn't scamper out of my pocket and into a ditch whilst I'm chasing joe-****-the-rag-man through the grimy alleys of the west side. Or even so that it doesn't work its way into the squad car after 12 hrs, resulting in it being stolen by some jack-nut on days that doesn't even know what a good folder is.
I was thinking that attaching it to the lanyard, then to my pants belt (under the duty) would keep it from beeing too seen, therefore reducing the chances that any a-hole tries to pick it from me. Of course, if they're that close to my gun side, maybe its the least of my worries, but bad situations occur on this job where people just do get close
, what ya gonna do...
Thanks guys,
Eric
