Lanyarding a Ti-Lite...??

Has anyone managed to lanyard a Ti-Lite?

I have both Ti-Lites, 4" and 6", and my only complaint is no lanyard hole. It looks like I can drill one if necessary if I'm spot-on and be able to pass a cord through without touching the blade, but I'd have to very precise. I don't want to try it if I can avoid it. So....

....the bottom scale retention screw hole looks as though it could serve my purpose if I remove the screw. Not sure whether to or not--I'm not certain both the male and female screw sections can be removed from the hole and I don't want to break the factory screw torque if the female part is not removeable (i.e bonded in somehow).

Anyone ever tried this to attach a lanyard? Also, what are your thoughts about removing that bottom screw insofar as affecting the strength of the knife or potential loosening of the scale in that area?

Appreciate any comments, experiences or ideas.... Thanks.

I don't know. I have a 4" aluminum handled one in XHP on its way. I usually don't lanyard any of my knives-but I'll check if would make sense to lanyard it. However, it is patterned after Italian and Sicilian stilettos. I have not seen many of those with lanyard holes.

I would be inclined to try screwing a lanyard hook under one of the screws for the pocket clip. I wouldn't try drilling into the knife itself.

You're right. I still wish they'd made this one exception just in the name of updating the design.

And thanks.
