Thank you all for your kind words!
It was my first attempt to heat color a damascus blade using NitreBlue Bluing salt from Brownells. Yet, this package is probably not the most appropriate choice for heat coloring. I should get some mosaic damascus blades from Rob Calcinore next week. These blades should stain beautifully.

WOW. Can we get a large closeup of the blade steel? I've never seen anything like it before, it's gorgeous. A matching sword would make an incredible set. Is there a scabbard?

Ok, just looked at your gallery... you are an amazing artist/smith. Do you do all of the work?

Thanks! I don't make my own steel/blades. I usually get damascus bars or custom blades from Zladinox or Rob Calcinore. Also, I use Two Finger Knife company service. They make custom blades from materials I provide very closely to my preferences. Indeed, these guys do a very good job with respect to accuracy and quality. I prefer to work with "more soft" materials like gold and silver.
There is no scabbard yet. I just need to think a little bit about it.
Here is close up photo of the blade.

Gorgeous work as always. I notice a recurring theme in your work. Are you a descendant of a Knight Templar?

Thank you all!
Thank you Robert!
I am not a descendant of a Knight Templar. Nobody is perfect. I just like daggers.
