Lapping Venev Diamond stones

I’ve got some 6” venev diamond stones I use on my TSPROF. We’ll it’s time for lapping again and I wanted to see what you guys use to lap these type stones.
 
I've used a silicon carbide hone on mine and it works well. That's the process as far as I know.
 
You can also use loose silicone carbide grit
Yeah, that's what I'm doing (see pic below). Never seen a hone used though, would like to see that.

Anyone use a bodrid dressing stone to do this? Or does that only do part of the job that lapping with SIC would do?
