G'day Everyone,
Just got back from 20 days in the West MacDonnell ranges in central Australia, walking the Larapinta trail. I got to talking about it on the Spyderco forums and rather than reinvent the wheel I thought I'd post a link here.

I learned a lot about what gear works out there and what doesn't, particularly with the wide range of temperatures - below freezing at night and over 30deg C during the day.
If you are interested in reading about the trail. The NT Parks and Wildlife have an excellent website, including downloadable maps that can be used in the field.
