As I was very curios about the difference between the Macassar Ebony and the current ebony inlay material - Gabon Ebony - I thought some comparison pics would also be of your interest. The Gabon Ebony is darker than the Macassar Ebony. Both are very pretty:

My goodness, Stefan. Your photos are a pleasure as always, but that macro shot of the jimping and spine captures the spirograph patterns intricacy so well! Beautiful knife!!! I don't see myself collecting many more CRK for the remainder of 2015 so I will have to live vicariously through you :thumbup:

Your pics are amazing.

I have a Mnandi with a Spiro blade and Gabon Ebony, as well as a Plain Jane Small with a Spiro Blade-it's my favorite pattern.
I just wish that I could take pics like you 😉
