Hello all, I'm looking for a folder with 4.5 to 6 in. blade. Can anyone make any suggestions in the under $100 range?? Thanks...

6" Cold Steel Ti-Lite. Despite the hype and broohaha surrounding CS, it's actually not a bad tool.

Off the top of my head:

Cold steel voyager and vaqueros. Both are excellent knives for the money.

SOG has some new spec elite folders that are great looking but i have not seen any formal reviews of them yet. They also carry the pentagon elite.

The cuda maxx is also an option although its about 30-50 dollars more than what you want.

Thats all i can think of right away. I'll let ya know if i think of any more.

I personally dislike all of the larger folders under $100.

I recommend the Rukus ("only" 4.25 inches but feels huge) and the Lone Wolf Harsey Tactical (4.8 inches or something). They cost more, but they are really good.

Save your money and buy a Camillus CUDA MAXX. It is, by far, the best king sized folder out there short of a custom.

I agree the only one's I like more are the sifu's or a DDR custom and those will se you back. I havent held the Larger Harsey but the T2 is a sweet knife and if the larger one is built just like it is I am sure its a great knife. The Rukus gets good reviews around here also. The cheapest is going to be the Cold Steel X or 2X voyagers, and vaquero's and you can probably find one of those for under 100 somewhere.

BenchMade Rukus is a premium large blade folder just a tad shorter than you are wanting though. Beautiful to behold too, but for what you want to spend you should probably look at the Cold Steel Voyager and Vaquero models.

I Have a Lone Wolf Large Ranger I can give you a deal on. 4.8 inch S30V Blade. They are $200 knives anywhere. I have a new one I can sell you for $150. This is one of the best Large Folders you can buy. Pardue10@comcast.net

How about an Ontario/Hossom Retribution I. 4.5" of blade at $119.00!
wtf?
where did you find it at this price??

I only found one for 260 bucks...

Hi Garth. Try Cumberland Knife Works. They have both the I and II. Prices are $109 and $119.

Give the Cold Steel TiLite 6" model some thought. At around $50, it is a heck of a deal. The new one is made of AUS8 rather than 440A, so it is good quality for the price. I own one, and although I don't carry it too often (7" handle), it is very cool! :D

I like the Cold Steel Ti-Lites. They were an acquired taste for me, but take a good, long look at the Voyager and Vaqueros, too. The 4-inch Voyager is lightweight and tough and it comes with serrations or plain blade. The Zytel grips are almost indestructable and the blades are highly polished and decent quality.
