Large Classic Sebbie with Leather Inserts-Do I Keep It?

I just received a large sebbie with leather inserts NIB. I thought I was getting a sebbie with a flat grind. It is the regular grind in S30V. Nice knife, but I was wanting one of the flat grind knives. I've got $300 + shipping in the knife. I don't know whether to reverse the deal or just keep it. I've contaced the seller telling him this knife does not match the description (it is probably the knife he had pictured). I should hear back from the seller by Monday. I'd be willing to keep it in hopes of trading it for a NIB large decorated sebbie with flat grind blade. I welcome your opinions. I've kept the knife in the box, because it is one great feeling/looking knife and I'm afraid I'll not be able to resist carrying it. :) :D

A beautiful dark blue.:) After I think about it, everyone here always says buy them all. I sure wish I could. I guess this is an excellent deal. When I get up the courage I'll take it back out of the box and make a picture. It sure is hard to put it up.

As far as I know the flat grind Sebenzas were only made in the "standard" style and had the plain titanium scales. I have a lightly carried flat ground that I would be willing to trade for your leather classic. I can also send you some pictures if you are interested.

Warriorsociologist,
It sounds like you've had to make a few of these decisions yourself.

Dalerich,
In fairness I need to hear from the seller before I trade this knife away. At least, I need to give him the opportunity to return to work and respond to my latest email. However, know that I am fully engaged in the "agonizing desision-making" process Warriorsociologist spoke of.
Thanks,
Jim

Just to try and edge you over to keeeping the knife- I will inform you that Mr. Chris Reeve carries a Large Leather Inlay Sebenza as his daily EDC.

Hope this helps........

RevJim,

There are very few Sebbieholic's that haven't agonized over the same decision !

Once you begin to carry. . .it doesn't take long to realize that the itty bitty "character marks" only add to what is yours. :D

Besides. . .you can always send it back to CRK. . .and have it refurbed. :D

I kept the large classic sebbie with the blue leather inlays in the box so I could think this through without the huge distraction of the knife. In fact, this morning is the first time I've opened the box since the day it came. I'm trading with Dalerich for his flat grind. I can't have a large sebbie as my EDC due to where I work and this knife deserves to go to work! At least I can say I owned one for a week or so (didn't carry it or use it, but owned it). Thanks again for your input.

I have a blue leather classic and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I've posted this photo before but It seems like a good time to do it again.

You choose which one to give up. I bet the "P" would be a keeper. How about the the woodie? Go ahead.... choose!!!

Eric,
Thanks for the post. The flat ground sebbie has arrived. Wow, it's great. I must admit that someday I'll have to get a sebbie with leather inlays to keep. I have a large decorated sebbie to keep the flat ground company. I have a small stars & stripes, a mnandi and five umfaans. Nonetheless, the leather did leave a hole which will someday be filled. Maybe a small leather that could be my EDC. Of course, that woody looks great, too. The tough thing is that all the CRK products make you want to take them home.:)
