Just got a new large classic yesterday. One of my favorite folders ever. As I don't care for the sandblasted handle, I satin finished it to 1500. Here is the result including before/after pics with a similar size and handle texture TNT. :)

That looks great, congrats! I'm with you on the satin ...it just looks and feels better. "Satin rules"

It definitely does look good in satin. I kind of like having a little more textural contrast between the blade and handle. Guess I could go either way. :)

Looks great...how did you do it?

Thank you all :)
I did it like this: took the knife apart, got a 1500 grit Micromesh cloth (silicon impregnated abrasive cloth from Dick GMBH www.dick.biz), polished the clip and frame by hand and reassembled. All takes about half an hour to an hour including relubing the pivot and washers.
It's really easy to polish with Micromesh, the cloth is quite elastic. If you roll it and use it freehand, it covers all the surface nicely (unlike regular sandpaper).
With 1500 on a sanblasted texture you get a really nice finish with no visible scratches, very smooth to touch but not fully polished.

Im a fan of the blast finish my self but that does look good
