how often do we see runs of the large plain handle Damascus sebenzas? I just got a small and want to complete the set with a large.

Also from the factory, is it normal on the small I can’t actually open it with one hand? Seems to be the angle of the stud against the pivot, just very unnatural feeling and the stud is so pointy. And I even have smaller than average hands. Yea first time sebenza owner here!

Ahh, yes, the first day with the volcano stud got us all. Haha. You will get used to the stud, but the best suggestion I can give is to not push the stud straight forward parallel to the frame of the knife (12:00 position) but rather to push it toward the 10-11:00 position and open the knife in a sort of arcing motion. Once you get a feel for that motion it will feel very smooth. I hope that makes sense!

Eventually your thumb will win the battle. The action will break in and your thumb will become like iron.

I once fought off a Bengal tiger with my Sebenza thumb.

I quite enjoy owning a knife that tends to have a “secret” opening method that non sebenza owners struggle with.

Push parallel to the handles, not perpendicular

I have one. Looked forever before finding one. One comes up on eBay every onee in a while, where they're often listed at $900. (One is listed there now for that amount) I think the new price is $650 when you can find one being released. I'm curious as to the real "value" right now though, as I recently listed it here and got no interest at $650 so I withdrew it. Guess the old adage holds, worth what someone else is willing to pay.
