I carried a Byrd Cara Cara 2 for quite a while. I prefer the feel and weight of the FRN but the G10 has a better lockup. I'd still be carrying the G10 one if my dumb friend hadn't dropped it down the back of her shorts "accidentally" when I walked into her room after she had grabbed it because I was playing with it (well out of her personal space too! ). Bleh.
I have zero interest in the Tenacious line. No ricasso at all, liner lock,... No thanks!!

When one is speaking of large knives, the Cold Steel Voyagers should be considered. Cold Steel has the strongest and most reliable lock-ups on the market and their heat treat is first rate. I have some of the older models and they're excellent. The knives come wickedly sharp and they're easy to sharpen. You can get blades four inches or five and a half inches. You also can get them in tanto or clip point blades. The Recon 1s have dark teflon-coated blades if you prefer those.
