I don't typically build this large of a knife but recently I've just had the urge to go big. This fighter has a
10" blade and is 15" OAL. The damascus pattern was the result of playing around with new techniques. The handle is some preban ivory. Most of the old surface cracks in the ivory came out but as you can see, a couple of them are still visable but as you may have heard me say before, "That just adds character".

Let me know what you think.

I like it Gary, but i'm thinking that hot blued fittings instead of shiny silver would look better to me.

Peter

Good idea. A dark blue would have gone well with the white of the ivory. Oh well. It's not a take-down but I will keep that in mind next time.

Very nice! I really like the lines on that one.

That is what I was thinking Gary. A darker color would provide some contrast to the damascus and look good with the ivory.

Great looking Fighter my friend........thanks for the great piece you made for the ABS at the Heartland Hammer-In......I'll get some pictures of it for all to look at ASAP. :)

Good work a piece of art. Every once in awhile its fun to shift gears away from the regular line up and make something that lets one's creativity flow.

I can't attend as many events as I would like and am happy to support both the ABS & the Kansas association when I can. [I always have a good time at Steve's events.] I'm glad that you got it and thanks for the support on your end.
