I just made the sheath for this one and sent her to ebay.

This is the style that I like for general purpose. I like a pack style sheath. I'd rather tuck a knife in my belt and be on my way, over undoing my belt and threading a sheath while keeping my pants from falling down.

Yet another nice one, so far i have not scored one on ebay, and trust me i have tried. lets hope i can stay close to my PC at th eend for this one

what type of grind is this one hollow flat? what type of edge do you put on your blades (fighting type)

I don't hollow grind a general purpose knife or most fighting knives. I think it leaves too little meat for chopping. This knife and most of mine are flat tapered or slight concave for a strong edge. The sharpened edge is 1/4" flat honed. You can shave with it.

I like the blade + handle but the guard seems to me too large. But otherwise the knife is perfect!

the blade is 1095 carbon just under 11" X 1.1/4" X 1/4". The handle is leather spaced fiddleback maple. The pommel is threaded to a grade 5 bolt that is welded to the tang. the steel guard is welded to the tang and soldered on the blade side ( just for looks ). The sheath is heavy harness leathers handstitched.

Sounds pretty bomb proof. I like it, it is simple and rugged looking and begs to be put to work.
