I'm looking for a large folder to compliment my modest Skyline. I love the simplicity and size of the the Skyline. Does 90% of what I want, does't freak people out in public, and I can beat it up knowing that it's $35.

I've notice that the 0560 has a MSRP of $325, and the 0562 has a MSRP of $250. Many consider the 0562 as being the better knife. Anyone know why there is a large disparity in the MSRP besides a larger blade? I think I may be leaning towards the 0562, but right now I can get the 0560 cheaper on the used market. I'm looking forward to putting the knife through hard use, and I afraid I would baby the $200 0562 too much.

I'm not a collector so I don't following pricing. Will the 0562 drop further in price like the 0560 after the novelty wears off? I was thinking that I could hold off and get a used ZT0562 when they become more available.

Bonus Question part 2:

I've heard that the fit and finish of the ZT0560/ZT0560 I way beyond a Paramilitary 2 and Benchmade 710. Is that accurate? I would consider replacing my Skyline for EDC purposes with the PM2 of BM710 and just carry one knife, but don't think I could EDC a 0560. If the 0560 is that much better, I would have no problem carrying the Skyline in pocket and ZT in bag.

Since you like the slim and lightweight Skyline, maybe something like a ZT 0770CF?

Howdy John23 and welcome to BF.

You can't go wrong with both the 0560 or 0562. In my personal opinion the profile of the 0560 is wider and takes up more room in the pocket. I find when comparing the two in the hand the weight balance of the 0560 is more in the blade where the 0562 is more centered. For my size of hands (med-large) the 0562 is a little more comfortable in the hand. Both will fit your needs in the large folder department. The great things about these knives is they are easy to sell if for some reason you don't like it enough to keep it. If you can, try holding them in your hand before buying

good luck in your decision.
