Large Guarded Hunter

[J. A. Baker Knives]

Here is a new model I have been working on. The blade is AEB-L stainless with a satin finish and a very thin tapered tang (.009" at the butt). The guard is hardened stainless with a satin finish and the scales are carbon fiber over brass and G-10. The sheath is tooled and hand stitched and has a pocket for a dedicated gut hook blade in the back.
4 1/2" blade
9 5/8" overall length
1/8" thick at ricasso

Exquisite Jeff. Love the shape - and the detailing is Baker Knife Art. The taper, the guard and bolster - sized just right, the delicate pins, the laminated scales, and the sheath come together for a beautiful package, with a gut hook as a bonus.

If I wasn't saving my knife money for an upcoming Baker surprise I would be sorely tempted, presuming of course that it is available. Very nicely done Jeff :thumbup:
