Hello
I own a large KA exclusive inkosi with CF.
I have used it for a while but for almost one year it doesn’t see much pocket time.
I think I am not sure about the CF scale on this knife.
I am thinking to let it go and buy another with natural micarta inlays

Can anyone having both share it’s feelings about own they compare?

When I bought the inkosi is was thinking to it like a kind of large gentleman knife.
But it happen to be a much more sturdy knife than I was expecting
I cannot really explain the feeling but has much as I like my large 21s to be as much as a gentleman as a working knife, as much I cannot see the inkosi as anything else as a working knife
And I have the feeling the micarta will suit this knife better

How do you feel about your inkosi?
Are you fine with the CF scale? Do you prefer the micarta?

You’re not alone. My CF scale and inlay Inkosi and sebenzas get carried less than my micartas, as well. I want to like them as much as micarta but that’s just not the case. However this isn’t the case for my CF mnandis, I prefer them over wood. Don’t give up on them, keep them in the lineup. At least one.

I personally don’t own a CF Inkosi. Which isn’t by choice. Being a lefty things are hard to find sometime. I’ll be interested to hear opinions on the CF as well. I do however own a few large inlay and plain handle inkosi’s tho. The inlay Inkosi model is my favorite. I prefer plain in large Sebenza. The Inkosi is a workhorse for sure. The inlay helps fill the hand better for me. I have somewhat bony fingers so with the inlays my fingers don’t feel the finger grooves as much. Helps the knife melt in my hand. I just prefer the feel of that version better. Little added comfort for really bearing down and long term cutting. Sorry can’t be any help with the CF model

I read that there are problems with the CF scale model maintaining blade centering. I’m not sure about that, but I’d be hesitant to buy into one before I’d seen what the CRK folks have to say about that. On the micarta inlay model... that one can be given the “complete” Spa treatment (which includes re-blasting both scales). The CF scale can only be hand-cleaned, and so never brought back to Spa-quality “as new” condition.

I can't see why the weight of the titanium is a problem. For the continuity of appearance and performance I don't see what CF brings to the table . What is the weight of a large 21 titanium VS CF? Is there a contention that CF is stronger? I like Glocks, so I'm not a "plastics" hater. Bart

The CF scale makes the Inkosi lighter and it can be perceived when handling the knives but even the standard titanium version doesn’t weight that much

On mine large inkosi the blade centering is good so no complaint from me on this point.

How does the natural micarta colour looks like has it get dirty?

I've had 4 or 5 various CF scaled versions of the Sebenza and Inkosi and haven't had a centering problem on any of them. That being said, I have seen a few photos from people with centering issues. I'm wondering if it's just an assembly issue? Pinched washer? Scale not sitting properly?

I have a Small Sebenza with a solid Westinghouse Micarta scale and I can say it was a bear to get centered when putting on the scale. Maybe something to do with Micarta and CF being so light and not easy to set properly? I have now idea. After a few attempts, it all lined up and the blade was perfectly centered but it did take a few tries.

Can anyone help me to figure out how the natural micarta looks after some time?
Is it more brown or beige?
What do you think look better between the natural and the black micarta?

My natural has gotten more brown and darker. I have a brand new Insingo one en route from crk and the older Dp one is there getting worked on or id give you a picture. I prefer the natural over the black personally. I prefer the red linen over the other two tho. At times when they are dirty there’s not that much difference at a quick glance in passing between my red and natural. A lot of times I can clean them with soap and water and it’ll almost restore back to how it came from the factory but it’ll dirty back up with use and oil from hand. Here’s a picture of my red micarta Just for reference E40C668D-B304-4564-A8BB-1B1305AF7E3A.jpeg

I have a red linen micarta and a black canvas micarta and I really prefer the red over the black
I think the natural may be my pick - some variety :)

I shall get a large 31 first but my next move should be this large natural micarta inkosi:)

Question: PJ/CF/micarta how do you feel comfortable with your inkosi and for what purpose?

I'm not particularly enamored of carbon fiber anyway; but, even if I was, I would prefer the inlays over the full scale. Go with the micarta:thumbsup: (I did)

I feel comfortable with my inkosi in any situation really. I use mine at work daily. I don’t abuse them but they do get used. Today I opened packages, stripped wire, scored Sheetrock, cut zip ties. Not much I’ve found in my daily work needs that it can’t handle
