I have searched all around, and I'm not finding consistent numbers. I know that the sebenza inlay version cuts some weight, but is it the same case for the Inkosi with micarta inlays? What's the weight of PJ vs inlay?

That looks about as perfect of a test that I could ask for. That's actually the same scale I use at home when I measure my knives, so I'm good with it! I appreciate the quick help! That's about a 5% drop which is something.

The inkosi is already kind of fat - does the inlay make it feel much bigger, or is it pretty negligible? I wouldn't mind getting my hand on the cf version, but the secondary prices aren't for me when it comes to more of a workhorse knife.

I don't think the inlays make it feel much bigger. For most people it seems like the location of the finger grooves is the main concern. They work great for my hand but not everyones.

Thanks! A friend from the forum was kind enough to mail me his large to try in hand. If I would have tried it in the store (closest is an hour away) I would have written it off as being uncomfortable. But since I have the large with me, I was able to take my time, and now I think that the grooves are fine. It's definitely a heavy knife, and even though the zaan weighs a hair more, the inkosi feels heavier in hand to me for some reason. Cutting some weight, albeit a small amount, with some inlays would be nice. I don't have anything with micarta at the moment anyway. Only wood inlays.

Well that was very kind of him to do. I think you'll like the micarta inlays. I think they give you a little more grip and are tuff as nails. I've had zero issues with mine.

I didnt like the inlay version. Added thickness the knife doesnt need and interfered with my thumb opening the knife. The PJ is just perfect but of course this is all just a personal thing and varies with the people using it.
