I have been looking at the insingo since it came out. Is it me or does it look like the pattern has evolved slightly. When looking at older pics, it seems the blade is slightly shorter and has more of an upswept blade profile and a shorter nose, while newer pics it looks more like it has a straighter edge and slightly longer blade.....?? Is this just me or different camera angles or has it indeed changed in the few short years its been available....??? I have only noticed this on the Large insingo pics and I was never into the small one.

For those of you that have had several or have noticed, please share.....!!!

I do know that CRK will evolve slightly as time goes on and tries different things here and there, so I know its not out of the question.

I have looked at the plain jane Ti version, the CF version and the Inlay Micarta version. I mainly noticed the differences from the early Ti versions to the newer versions.

I've owned a large insingo and three small insingos. I can't say I've noticed what you are describing. One thing I have noticed though, on the small insingo the blade grind perfectly lines up with the swedge grind, where as on the large it does not. I love that about the small, how the upsweep of the top of the blade grind moves seamlessly into the swedge. Pics for comparison:

Looking at the one in my pocket compared to the pics on KA, they look to be the same, especially the second pic of the large plain. Not sure how old those photos are, but my Insingo was born in early 2012. Maybe it's just the camera angle.

My LG micarta was born on Jan 2, 2012 and looks exactly like the blade above from what i can tell.

I am going to have to go digging for the pics I was looking at to show the differences, wether they be actual or just camera angles.

OKay, upon me looking for pics, I found an old thread from 2011 showing pics side by side of the original insingo version and the newer version. Granted these were on the small insingo, but you can see the main differences.

I also looked at a few dealer sites and you can see the differences as well. This is of the large insingo. Both knives are at nearly the same angle and you can see the wider blade and slightly different tip, verses the narrower original.

Here is what looks to be the Original Insingo

This one looks to be of the newer design.

When looking at those two pics together, it does appear that they have slightly changed the shape. I had assumed that it was just the camera angle playing mind tricks, now I'm not so sure. If that's the case, I think I like the newer design better.

Well that thread is interesting for sure. Bucky sure seems to have two different blade shapes, but then there's this:

I talked with Heather about this (via email). I was told that there were no changes made to the shape of the blades, maybe just an odd ball?

I was thinking the same thing, but when looking at several pics of the insingo ( just doing a google search you will notice the differences ) I noticed the difference. When looking for the pics, I came across the old thread from 2011 which confirmed what I was talking about. I do like the wider looking blunt nosed blade better than the original.

I will try and shoot some pics of the three of mine all from different times manufactured later today. I think it has a slight change in blade shape.
