Large Kasper

I have one of the smaller ones, best knife I have ever owned so far. Abused the hell out of it and not a problem. Because it was a cheap knife I was not afraid to use it where I would not use my others. Easy to sharpen, fits good in your hand, and very tough.

I owned one of the old large "pro" models. It had aluminum handles and an AUS-8 blade. Really nice. I wonder why it was disco'd. It is much better than these new ones.

Higher end materials than the version still in production, and a line that markets to people who don't care about the distinction.

A real nice alternative to look at is the Timberline large Worden. Still using AUS-8 steel, well priced, real beefy with a tight lockup, IMO a high quality product in this size/price range.

I'm happy with it & got a good deal.
Funny thing, opinions are like belly-buttons, we all got one!

I have one of those, too, and you're right, it's pretty nice. AUS-8 isn't the best steel around, but holds a noticeably better edge than AUS-6, much less 420J2 :barf:

My only complaint is with the silver anodized scales. They look pretty pimpy, if you ask me. I'd love to get them re-anodized in black or dark grey, or even better, a deep green like on my Benchmade 941.
