This is the first in a series of knives I will be making called Large Ladies. Each knife is in length greater than 500mm.

OAL 517mm
Blade forged from O1
Handle from black Micarta and stst.

That is a very functional looking big blade with an ergonomic looking handle. Excellent job.

Have you done any cutting or chopping with it?
 
Large may be a slight understatement for these blades. 500 mm calculates out to almost 19 3/4" (19.7" :eek: )! Nice ... very nice! Move over Dundee ...

I had to use a friends quenching trough. Mine wasn't large enough to take the blade. The recurve occurred naturally because of the long blade. It was actually straight on the back with an up swept edge. I prefer it this way anyway.

I have held this in my hand.....it really is awesome:)
 
I dated a six foot one inch lady once. Exactly my height. A college basketball player. So I like them big (and small too, as the girl before that was 4'9" tall).

Nice looking blade there.
