Doe anyone know of a sheath maker that could make a leather sheath for the short butaniku, preferably without me having to ship it.
Thanks

There are some great leather makers around here but not sure if they have a pattern or not. Hopefully some of them will chime in here.

Asking for a sheath maker to invest in such an expensive blade with limited opportunity to recover that investment is a big ask. I wish you well.

Sorry if I wasn't clear, I don't mind sending my blade if its the only way to get a sheath made. I was just hoping one of the makers might have it so I wouldn't have to send it.

I got a Chuddy Bear sheath made for my AK and it is amazing. Well worth the wait and very reasonable price-wise too.

Garth (or anybody from Busse) is there any chance you could make an accurate replica of the knives out of plastic for people who wants to make sheaths? I really want to make sheaths for a number of models but I don't really have the budget to buy all of them...

p.s. I bought a TG (my first Busse) so hopefully I would be making a sheath for that soon!

SInce I now have a ganza AK on the way, I'd be interested in some pics of what you folks have.

Leatherman here on the forums made the sheath my sar8 sits in as we speak. It oozes quality.
Thank you! :)
This. I had an AK47 with a sheath by Dwayne. He had laminated kydex into the contruction to make the sheath stronger and stiffer. Very nice.
Agreed, since I started the lamination technique it really made a difference in the rigidity and usability of a longer leather scabbard/sheath. I put together a 38" sword scabbard a while back and it would have been a nightmare to handle without the extra stiffness of the kydex inside. It is fully lined in thin leather btw for those who wonder. :D

Yea, I'm back and on track for a comeback. :p

Side view of Dwaynes AK47 sheath. Keep in mind that this sheath was made over 5 years ago, and may not represent his current production.

Thanks for posting that Resinguy! Ah memories, and your right, I do them a bit different these days. That type is what is usually referred to as "Dundee" though its not vertical like the movie, it sits diagonal across the back.

A baldric rigging sits the sheath on the hip, kind of like the old sword scabbards, with the strap across the chest. This is an old pic of one of the early attempts at a removable baldric plate. Again, I make em a little different these days.
