I am a huge fan of the Kershaw Leek. But, I do wish it was just a tad bit larger. I love the shape of the Leek's blade. It handles most of my cutting needs perfectly. I just wish it was about a half inch longer. Anyone else or am I in a fan club by myself?

Make it a manual folder with a stouter tip and Ti RIL handle, and they might be onto something.

How about the Shallot? I'm pretty sure it has a half an inch on the leek.

ETA: Just checked the specs on kershaw's website and the shallot has an 3-1/2 blade, the leek has a 3 inch blade, :D I think I found the extra half inch you were looking for ;)

here's some specs and pics,
The Shallot

Thanks hwpaintballer but I have a Shallot. It's blade shape is not the same as the Leek. I am talking about an exact Leek duplicate, just a little bigger. Don't get wrong, I like my Shallot, I just like the Leeks blade shape a little better.

The Barrage (2445, I think it's getting renamed the Salvo) is pretty close...

I like that one! I see it don't have the flipper that I prefer but does anyone know if it is assisted like the Leek?

Isn't the Kershaw Shallot pretty close to just a tad larger? They even use the same clip. Seems all Kershaw would have to do is just put a similar blade to the Leek in the Shallot and its basically there.

Im also a huge Leek fan and I also own the Barrage. The Barrage is not assisted or a flipper its a manual with a thumbstud the lock is a framelock. I bought my Barrage at Walmart a few months ago for around $35 and I really like it.

Yea if i could a 1/2" longer Leek blade and put it into a shallot handle that might work! I have a Shallot, well, actually two, and I like them a lot. I just prefer the blade shape of the Leek. Again, I just wish the Leeks blade was longer. :(

Maybe not as long as you like but a bigger blade and G-10 with a similar shape, the Kershaw Nerve(re-named Blitz)

very nice looking. one downside is that it uses 8CR13MOV steel. my g10 leek is S30V

it has such a low price tag (~$25) ... this must not be US made like the Leek

A 3.5"-3.75" blade Leek would be an instant "must have" for me.
I have a CPM D-2 model and love it, but, invariably, I find myself wishing the blade was longer. It's a disease, I tell ya...

3.5" Leek is a great idea. I have two of them, S30V and CPM D-2. Also I have a Barrage and Shallot but they are very different from Leek. Someone please call Kershaw and tell them that we're ready for bigger Leek!

There were several threads on the larger Leeks back in the Kershaw subsection days. We all asked, but Ken didn't seem to want to design one. Then the Shallot came out and everyone called it the Leeks' big brother and were consoled with it. Now that Ken's not w/ Kershaw, it'll probably never happen.

i think a good addition to the leek would be the ability to turn the assist on and off like the cyclone. that really comes in handy.
