I’d like to add another button lock to the stable. How many models out there meet the following parameters:

- Button lock (obviously)
- Manual action
- Flipper
- Blade length at 3.75” or above
- Relatively straightforward clip point or drop point blade style
- Let’s put a minimally flexible upper price point at around $300

Extra credit given if your recommendation is something that can actually be purchased with a reasonable amount of effort.

So what you got?

Thank you for that suggestion. It hits all the parameters. I have one of Jeff’s Model 451 fixed blade field knives in 3V and it’s exquisite. I’m not the hugest fan of aluminum handled knives, but I think I’d be willing to make an exception in the case of this folder. It’s a shame none appear to be currently available anywhere.

I have larger hands and the Civivi button lock Elementum fits me perfectly. $ 66 and very well made. No complaints no hot spots. Made in China but not a problem for me

Another vote for the Pallas here. The handle is extremely comfortable in my opinion. The ProTech Mordax is slightly smaller with a 3.5" blade but it's worth looking at.

You could consider one of CRKT's Deadbolt knives too, I've had this Clever Girl folder for a while, and it's rock solid.

The Freeman 451 BLF used to be available with titanium handles and S35VN blade steel for around $400, but I haven't seen them available on the Freeman site for a while. Even his fixed blades are listed as "out of stock". You might want to reach out to Jeff directly. The couple of times I've reached out he responded quickly. I really enjoy my 451, although it's a little too big to be daily carry.

He was working on a Mini 451 BLF but that appears to be dead in the water.

I actually did see that. But when you try to add one to your cart, it shows zero stock on hand.

That’s weird. You should make a want to buy ad here, I’m sure someone will have one for sale.

Email Jeff and he'll work something out. You have to normally order directly from Freeman Outdoors. It's worth tracking it down man, you'll love it.
