I sent my knife in to CRK for some love and cleansing. I asked them to change all of the hardware to blue (this is a first for me), add double lugs, replace washers (asked them to please ensure they were perfectly CRK smooooth), add a clip insert and to change the lanyard to a blue or dark blue one with a blue titanium spacer of some sort.

I have sent Sebbies to CRK a long time ago and the turn around was pretty fast, if I remember correctly. It took 9 weeks this time. I will admit, I was nervous. Anne was awesome responding to my emails in a timely fashion assuring me that everything was okay. She is awesome.

I received my knife today, opened it and was surprised that they forgot to do one little thing. They forgot the lanyard. Thankfully I was not charged for, so no biggee. I will just have to find one online somewhere.

Here are some pics...

One thing to note above: In the past when I had double lugs added on Regular Sebbies, they would grind down the lockbar to make it easier to access. Apparently they do not do that anymore. I will say that the opposite lug is VERY hard to use. Aesthetically it looks good though. :)

They did blast both slabs, so the knife is visually like new again. Pretty cool. It feels like silky butter opening and closing it. Not tough, not easy, just perfect. I am enjoying the blue accents. This is the first Sebbie I have ever had blue hardware on. I wanted something a little different. I like it, but I am sure I will love it once I get the blue lanyard.

Enjoy the pics. :)

That looks great. I really like the blue hardware, but it would be nice if the finish held up longer.
Just a disclaimer, I have yet to buy my first CRK, but will be soon. I'm just going by what others have said, and from the pictures posted....

It seems to me that 9 weeks is a very long time. I could see 2-3 weeks. I can't imagine they have that many warranty returns. I'm guessing it is just because they are so busy with everything else, and just fit the spa work in when they can ?

Mike, I wish you were closer, I'd let you play with my 21 for a couple days to help with the 21/25 decision.

I agree with you on the blue. It's pretty, but it does show wear eventually.

Enjoy it! I might get a double lug at some point...I'm still not decided though.

How long was the spa trip?

Makes me want blue lugs! Personally, I don't mind that they wear. I think it adds to the character. Having said that, for some reason I only have silver lugs in my own collection. I will have to change that next time i "pull the trigger" on something CRK where the blue would work.

I appreciate the thought Ken. The last few weeks, work and home life has been a little hectic, so I really haven't thought much about knives. I have a feeling that whether it's a small, large, or a 25, a person wouldn't be disappointed :D

All of my Sebbies have had silver hardware too. Once I started seeing the cool looking carbon fiber knives with blue hardware, it made me want to change my micarta to blue. I am really liking it so far.

I have gotten double lugs put on and they did bevel around the lockside for me. This however was about 1 year ago now. I wonder if they stopped doing that or they forgot to do it for you? On my Wilson Combat Sebenza version, there is no extra bevel either though so who knows.

As for lug colors, I prefer the silver since it doesn't wear. I think there was someone on the forums who used some kind of paste and cloth to remove the blue once they got too worn.
