I have seen many beautiful Knives here on the forum since I became a member. And have sadly become addicted to CRK folders. Here is a pic of my latest Ugly Duckling. It is a very interesting knife mfg. in Sept of 1996. It appears that it is kind of a transition from the P Sebenza with no clip to one with a clip although the clip is not attached to the knife but is included in the box with a card detailing its use. I thought it was very interesting but since I am a novice with CRK knives I would of course like to here from those with more experience on the subject. Thanks in advance :)

Very interesting piece. Sort of a precursor to what would become the "Classic".

Definitely an interesting variation.. I believe that from other posts that I have read this knife was made during the same time that they were transition to the Regular "New Design" in August-September of 1996. and had just starting milling the cut out for the clip. The knife is as mfg. never used in the original box with all the paperwork and an birth card. Blade ATS-34 Birthdate 09-10-96. and the little card explaining the pocket clip.

Thanks Kawaz, The pictures I posted were taken by the seller, It is even nicer than the photos! Alas I am almost as technology challenged as I am with CRK. I am going to try to figure out how to share some more pictures that I have taken with my cell phone. Stay tuned! ;)

Until I figure out how to post my own pictures here ia a little more information about my Large P Sebenza..
The knife appears to be as new in the original CRK box.
It has what appears to be what I would describe as storage marks from what apears to be an early version of the CRK leather belt sheath, I say early only because though it is identical to the current model the markings stamped on the back are much different (smaller font).
The early flat style pocket clip and black tool are together in a cellophane package and appear to be unused.
There are five documents in the box:
1. CRK " BIRTH CARD"
2. CRK "CAUTION" Stament.
3. CRK "A few Notes on the Care of your SEBENZA"
4. CRK "The Clip on the SEBENZA"
The clip which is supplied with both large and small Sebenzas is
provided only to allow you to carry your knife conveniently. Please
note that it is not intended to be a fail proof way of securing your
knife. With movement, the knife can ease its way out of your
pocket and, if such an event results in the loss of your knife, we
cannot be held in any way responsible.

When we introduced the Sebenza,
we did not include a pocket clip.
However, there was a large demand
for such a clip so we introduced one
as an option. Now, because we
have very few knives ordered
without clips, we have chosen to
supply all knives with clips as a
standard feature. If you prefer your
knife without a clip, you can
remove it, using the Allen Wrench
supplied.
-----------------FOLD-----------
the pocket clip we make is made of
titanium, it is recessed into the
handle so it is very slim and fits close
to the knife. It is fitted to the side
of the blade that is slotted for the
lock, on the opposite side from the
pivot (I.e., the end where the thong
hole is located).

Nylon pouches for both large and
small Sebenzas can be ordered for
$10.00 each.

Mike. . . I am not trying to get you to divulge your sources, but as a self-described CRK novice how on Earth did you score this beauty?

Thanks MM, but as with most things it was just dumb luck. I won't say where I got it, but check out this link to one of Lisantica's youtube videos of what can only be described as super CRK find. Lisa is the Godess of CRK in my book!! Mine came from the same source....
