Large Regular Sebenza. Blade width?

i was looking at some pics of some newer CRK sebenza's, and noticing that my 1998 bg42 model's blade might be different than the newer ones. mine appears to have more of a belly.

so... i would like it if some of you out there with newer sebenza's could measure the width of the blade. cutting edge to spine of blade.

my 1998 sebenza in bg42 is: 1.2 in. at fatest point (above thumbstud) and 1 in. towards center of blade.

You got it! Mine that I recently bought is just a tad over 1 inch at its widest point.

wow. my eyes really deceive... it looks like such a difference between pics and real life.

is the blade of the classic any different? maybe that i what i'm thinking of.

Just FYI, mine (BG-42 flat ground large regular) is 27.9 mm (1.1") at it's 'fattest' point - ( above center of thumbstud to edge).
If your's is 1.2", the edge should almost protrude from the handle when closed and also be pretty close to the back spacer? - mine is now 2.9mm away from the handle, the backspacer a little less but can't measure that.
