Large Regular Steel?

I bought my Sebenza off of ebay a few years ago. I never asked the seller for any information about the knife so I'm not sure what steel the blade is...BG42 or S30. Is there a way to determine what steel my Large Regular is made with? Thanks!

Any markings on the blade?

None on the visible part of the blade...I've never broke it down for cleaning so I don't know about the non-visible part of the blade.

Did it come with a birth card or box? It will say something on either

No birth card, no box...I bought the knife from a gentleman off of ebay for a VERY good price but no documentation. I'm trying to post pics but it is a challenge for me!

The steel should be marked but not able to be seen until disassembly.

I disassembled today and cleaned and lubed and found no markings on the blade...I do know now that the knife was constructed in 1998.

Great piece you have, I'd guess the pocket clip has been replaced from the original.

Most of those have flat clips, but not all. It can be factory clip.

I bought 2 Lg. Regs in BG42 back around 1999/2000, about 6 months apart. The first one has the clip shown in post #18, the second one the clip shown in post #14. That then must have been the time they changed the style.
