Since both these woods are no longer available as inlays I decided to pick up a few...was hoping for a feathered grain pattern on the Lignum Vitae but this one does have nice green color to it, so oh well. The desert ironwood has almost an three dimensional gold iridescent shine to parts of its grain, really great inlay and my new favorite I think, so I picked two of em...would love to have an annual with this wood.

The Ironwood scales look great. I personally think that the inlay sebenzas make the best users.

Enjoy them both

Dang! That both are great but I think that Ironwood is gorgeous! I'd feel bad about dinging one up that looks that nice. Very cool!

LV is very cool stuff, even if not the most dramatic visually. I have a large and small LH pair of Classics.

Those look great, I like the LV the best - congrats.
Can you please give me a hint, where i can find the info about the discontinued woods.
TIA

red mag, send an email or call CRK for a listing of what woods have been discontinued and which are now listed and available. Jessie will give you all the info.

I love the Ironwood and Snakewood, they are not only great looking but very strong also!

Great Sebenzas you have there, I've got to admit they're very impressive and I especially like the way you set up the shot, Nice.

Thank You DH.

I was hoping that there was some kind of sticky post here on BF where one could find the most recent news.

Thanks for all the comments everyone :)
onlooker96....that's originally what drew me to Lignum Vitae, the extreme hardness/durability of it and its history of use in maritime vessels is pretty cool me thinks.
