Hello CRK fans!! I picked this up a few days ago and thought I would share my good fortune with my friends here on BladeFourms. It is a very nice (IMHO) fairly early Large Sebenza 21. Yes I know I already have one!! In fact its younger brother is only one day younger!! But there are some very interesting differences. This new member of my CRK Stable although only one day older.. has a Polished Blade and Double Thumb Lugs. So of course I HAD TO HAVE IT!! I am sure you understand. :)
Thanks for looking at my long boring post and as always any observations and or comments are always welcome!!
For comparison I have included a link to it's younger brother.
All the best, Dave

Here is another set of photos that show some interesting differences between the two. Both knifes are as shipped from CRK back in February 2009 yet besides the differences noted on the box and card you can see that the gimping is different. (2-18 has more aggressive gimping) and the cord (Lanyard) is secured with the pin on 2-19 and tied to the handles on 2-18. Just little things that I find very interesting... an just another reason I am addicted to these knifes.

P.S. I AM STILL LOOKING FOR AN EARLY SMALL 21 FOR MY COLLECTION SO IF YOU HAVE ONE THAT YOU DON'T NEED IN THE SAME CONDITION AS ONE OF THESE LARGE 21's PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!;)

I share your love of this sebenza period. I have a large (BD 7-15-09) that I ordered a raindrop damascus blade for, a year ago. I'm very eager to get the call that it has arrived.

If the beauty of a sebenza is it's simplicity, then 08 -10 is the "golden age" :)

Thanks lathrop!! I agree with you 100%!! I too "love" the simplicity of the "Plain" Sebenza's. Original, Regular, Classic and of course the 21!! And it is really neat to be able to find nice examples of any of them. The Decorated, CGG's and inlaid models are of course very beautiful especially in the Small Sebenza's but for some reason I just seem to really like the "Plain Jane" versions. I added another set of photos comparing the two knives.
