Large Sebenza Backspacer Question

Hi guys (and gals),
I recently purchased a plain jane Large Sebenza 21 with blue hardware. I really love the blue thumbstud, but I would prefer the silver backspacer and lanyard pin. I know that I could send it in and have it changed out, but I have another idea that I think might work and I wanted to get some feedback.

Last week, I ordered a CRK Lanyard from BladeHQ for my Small Sebenza. It includes a silver lanyard pin and I am pretty sure that the bead is a silver backspacer from a Large Sebenza. Could I just order a Large CRK Lanyard and use the silver backspacer (bead) to replace the blue backspacer on my Large Sebenza? Because it includes the silver lanyard pin as well, I could kill two birds with one stone.

I guess what I am really asking is if all Large Sebenza backspacers are the same or if they are somehow fitted to each individual knife? Hopefully, my logic is correct and I can just swap the parts into my Large Sebenza.

(Once I get the silver hardware installed, a nice Scotchbrite treatment may be next...)

IMO it should be fitted ad the factory
each part is hand fitted to ensure close tolerances and fit

I'd send it in, it's not a 50$ knife

my opinion

I just had my sebenza taken apart yesterday and happened to be making a lanyard with the crk bead at the same time, and I am pretty dang sure they are different sizes. I am not positive, and I didn't check, but something is telling me they are not the same size...

Pretty sure the spacer isn't fitted. Lanyard pins definitely aren't.

Should be alright checking on your own without sending it in.

If you have a silver pin already, then I'd just suggest buffing off the blue on the exposed part of the spacer. You could polish that spacer up to a mirror if wanted, but I'd just polish the exposed surface. Don't sand away the sides that are touching the frame, ensuring you keep tolerances the same. I've done that with a blue spacer and it turned out fine.
