I have an opportunity to acquire the above Tanto Seb, "1 of 200" sold in 2005anybody have any opinions of this model? thanks, Ruff Cobb

If it's the one listed on GT w/ CR sheath , I think its an excellent deal. I've been thinking of buying it myself, but I just don't care for tanto's. If you end up buying it, post some pics here on BF. (I don't think that the pic he has posted on GT is of his actual knife.) Best of luck.

Offer & counter offer, pretty certain I have a deal & a rather satisfactory one.

The seller is an amateur photographer & the picture is his, the item is NIB, W/tool, & pouch.

I handled one of these in Summer of 2005 in Phoenix & was really impressed, the tanto was razor sharp but retail was just too steep for a retired geezer. I'm neutral on a tanto seen some I really like & had a Cold Steel folder in the early 90's with a tanto that I didn't care for. I guess it's subjective, thin & sharp is OK, thick & fat I'd pass on..

Thanks for your opinions, Ruff Cobb

Awesome!! If you got it for even less than the last asking price, it's a steal IMO.:D (Just wondered about the pic because if you right click on it and look at the properties is says the pic came from the arizonacustomknives web site.)

I even went to the website & saw the same picture. Thanks, Ruff Cobb

Do it, Do it, do it!

Pull the trigger :D

I will digg around in my photobucket, to push you over the cliff :D

There's some threads available if you do a google search on this site.

Highly thought of.

Ruff Cobb, go for it. I have one of the original run of 1 of 400 large tanto Sebenzas. I got it as a user, no box or papers, at least three previous owner, needed cleaning and sharpening.

It's a Sebenza! It cleaned up great! :D

I carry it as a heavy duty EDC, and with the tanto tip, I don't worry about banging into things with it. It's a real favorite, and I carry it more often now than my regular Sebenza.

see the blades

HAH!

No they do not have dual studs.

Below the large one from the newer release is much more "rectangular" if that makes sense. You can see that the small tanto sebenza (from a previous NICA release) has a slight curve both along the main blade edge and the point.

CRK knives can be reconditioned to nearly new and double T lugs can be added. price of refurb can be very reasonable depending on the wear and tear level, especially if the blade doesn't need to be replaced.
