The Strider WB Tanto is, by Strider standards, the perfect midsize knife. (By anyone else's standards, the WB's 6.25 inch blade and 11.50 overall length, hewn from quarter-inch steel, would be well beyond midsize.)
This knife feels great in the hand. It's just the right size to be a serious combat-utility knife, it has a pleasing weight in the palm, and the green paracord handle makes for precise maneuverability, even though the knife is large.
The WB sports one of Strider's thickest blades. Its quarter-inch width is maintained from blade base nearly to blade point. There are combat Bowies with foot-long blades that can't touch the WB Tanto blade for brute strength.
Somebody must have told Mick Strider that tanto blades don't have the stabbing power of spearpoints and clippoints. Even though the point of this tanto knife is very aggressively tipped, the point itself is faceted to maintain maximum blade thickness until the last possible centimeter. This blade looks like it could go through a car door like a knife through butter.
This knife just returned from a tour of duty in Iraq. The blade has clearly been used for minor chores. The blade has been sharpened once. Looks like a decent job. Blade edge integrity is completely intact. The blade edge is sharp. The knife is in very good but not mint condition. If you seek a user rather than a safe queen, this baby has years of use left in it. Green paracord handle dusted in the crevasses with Iraqi dust. Cordura nylon, Kydex-lined sheath is left-handed.
