I maybe wrong but I think the vantage force pro has the rivets and single piece back fill spacer. Vantage pro, select, and avid models have screws and open back with a mid bushing type spacer and heal spacer. There are several different model numbers with various parts differences.Anybody know when Buck switched to rivets on the Large Vantage. I'm trying to find one with screws for a scale and blade swap. Is there a model number or scale color that will indicate screws?
Thanks for sharing that. Guessing some of those went with rivets after 2015. (To be clear, I'm talking about the liners being riveted, not the scales.)
This is what I read elsewhere. Not clear to me which still have screws.weren't the earlier versions all screws? they switched to rivets under the scales which are still held by screws.
The 20cv version is riveted under the scales.think I have a couple early ones that are screws, but never took the scales off. the plastic scale holder versions are all with rivets under the scale inserts arent they?
the confusing part is some that dont have the plastic scale holder are still rivets, or so I thought? including the 20cv sk version and bcci damascus, correct?
Not following where the challenge is. Replacing all 4 washers on the pinned models can be a challenge. Significantly easier with a wedge to open the scales a little and a pair of tweezers to drop the washers on the pivot. These two things take it from frustratingly hard to mildly inconvenient (at least for me).The first one I encountered riveted construction under the scales was the BSA version. In 2017 with the inlaid rosewoood on frn. I believe the open backs are pinned and the force pro with the backspacer had screws. I’ve done a couple swaps from pinned to screwed. Not easy, but not terribly hard. Lining the washers up is really the main speed bump. I’m also curious if the c and c force pro is riveted under those scales.

What's the challenge lining up the washers on a model with screws. Not challenging you - just trying to understand the issue.
