Hey guys , I'm looking at getting either the Rajah III or large Voyager from Cold Steel.
Probably to edc. The voyager costs less and I've never owned a recurve.

Depending on what you need the knife for, I would recommend the Voyager for an EDC. The size is not so large as to be unwieldy while still being large enough to handle most tasks.

Carrying the currently made large Voyager clip point now, used to carry the previous model, but like the grip, Triad lock, and flat grind of the current model better.

I don't ultimately trust any liner/frame lock like I do Cold Steel's Triad. Great all around knife, and if TN didn't have 4" limit, I'd probably even carry the extra large version.

For edc, the voyager is probably better. It's thinner and weighs less than the rajah, and easier to sharpen as well.

I too, recommend the 4-inch Voyager over the Rajah III for EDC.

I do like the Rajah II and can legally carry it where I live. But it definitely isn't for everything!

Thanks for the input. I found a discontinued large Vaquero online and it has kicked everything else out of my pocket. It came very sharp, after a week or so I ran it across the second wheel on my razor sharp. The recurve is like one BIG serration !

I have a large Voyager tanto and I can't recommend it enough. It's an amazing deal. Super light, super strong, great design, and really comfortable in your hand.

For what it's worth, I intend to buy a Rajah III, I'll probably post about it once I do.
